Until your primary market investment is accepted by the issuer, your money will be held in an escrow account and can only be transferred to the issuer after the company has accepted the investment and issued the token. At that time, the token will appear in your holdings.
For the secondary market, the settlements are batched. Similar to primary markets, until the settlement is completed, the funds associated with your investment will sit in an escrow account and will only be transferred once settlement occurs. After settlement has completed, you will see the token appear in your account.
